About Our Internship and Practicum Training Program

**First round of clinical internship beginning January 2025**

Emerald City Behavioral Health is proud to offer a comprehensive 9 to 12-month training placement for students pursuing degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Our program is designed to meet the rigorous standards set by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), ensuring that students receive the highest quality education and training.

Key Features:

Practicum and Internship Hours: Students can complete the 100 hours required for practicum and the 600 hours needed for internship during their placement with us. This hands-on experience allows students to apply counseling theories and develop essential skills under supervision.

Flexible Hours: We understand the importance of balancing personal, educational, and professional responsibilities. Our program offers flexible hours for direct services, enabling students to meet their commitments while gaining valuable experience.

Paid Internship: To support our interns financially, we offer paid internship opportunities at a competitive rate of $20 per hour. This compensation helps alleviate the financial stress associated with completing degree requirements and accruing hours for licensure.

Supervision: Our interns receive one hour of individual and/or triadic supervision per week with a state-approved mental health supervisor. This supervision ensures that students receive guidance, support, and formative feedback on their counseling performance and development.

Why Choose Our Program?

Our program aligns with CACREP standards, providing a comprehensive and high-quality training experience.

Supportive Environment: We offer a nurturing environment that fosters both professional and personal growth.

Real-World Experience: Students gain practical experience by working with a diverse client population and engaging in a variety of professional activities and resources.

Financial Compensation: Our competitive hourly wage for interns supports them financially, allowing them to focus on their training and education.
